And I feel like many, many guys are in the same boat as me. I will fully admit that I (a 21 y/o male) have never asked a girl face-to-face on a date. Social skills- Social media has lowered the amount of in person socialization people do. Posting things on social media just for attention, people complain and make a stink just because a piece of language offends them. This ties into selfishness- despite being "woke," I feel that my peers are selfish. It's about feeling like you are making a difference, not actually making a difference. What I hate most is people post stuff just to be 'performative,' meaning the main purpose is to showcase to others that they are 'woke.' This is so relevant with masks, when people post stuff like "wear a mask, social distance." Like everyone knows to wear a mask, but he/she posts that to show the world that they are pro-mask. And quite frankly, I have a few conservative friends who are like this too. Politics- People just blindly following the SJW stuff and refusing to speak with anyone who opposes them. People also seem to have this snooty, elitist mindset that they are 'better' than people who didn't go to a selective college. Another friend of mine was looking for jobs and was like "This is so frustrating, nobody is reaching out to me with opportunities" (under the impression that a job should fall in his lap). For example, in freshman year biology lab, someone complained that "If you do the work, you should get an A" As if she is entitled to get a good grade. I go to a target undergrad and there's so much entitlement among my peers. Whininess & entitlement- easily the most frustrating thing about my peers. Specifically the whininess, social skills, and politics, as well as selfishness. I cannot stand a lot of my peers for those reasons. I am a member of GenZ, and I completely agree.
